Primos Hunting is a staple in the industry and if you are a hunter or outdoorsman of any type you have heard of Primos and maybe even their Primos Trail Camera line. The company started out in the 1970s and primarily focused on game calls but has grown into a worldwide leader in a variety of product lines. Primos is part of the Vista Outdoor company which represents over 30 brands in the industry. Primos has maintained quality products and customer service through its existence and while they focus on a wide variety of products they do offer some nice trail camera options and have continued to make improvements from year to year based on feedback and industry competition.

Gen 2 01 series offers similar features as its generation 2 counterparts but this camera is more of the base or entry model camera from Primos. You will still get a good reliable product that offers 12MP image quality, 80 foot detection range, HD video options and one year battery life. This camera also still includes the auto focus feature that is new to all Gen 2 cameras which will help reduce those pesky white out photos. Low glow flash technology also included on this model. Generation One Proof Cams are durable and reliable cameras who offer a lot of great qualities in a camera. This line is models from previous year so you can look for a good price point on these cameras as the new Gen2 cameras have shown improvements in a number of areas.
Base level Primos camera model for under $100 bucks. This camera is as simple as it gets to setup. Simply insert batteries and a card and you are ready to go. Camera offers 1.0 second trigger speed and 8MP image quality and ease of setup. For my money, if you are looking to pick up a lower end camera there are some better options out there on the market. Still a good reliable camera if you are simply going for ease of use.
